'50 Indian officials' leave Afghanistan as Taliban advance

 As much of Afghanistan falls into their hands, about 50 Indian diplomats and activists have left their Kandahar consulate in the face of Taliban demands, according to Indian media. Taliban fighters are rapidly taking control of key areas of southern Afghanistan around Kandahar, as well as creating major security concerns in western Afghanistan; In this situation, India has taken this step to remove diplomats and staff, NDTV reported. The Indian embassy in Kabul said on Tuesday it had no plans to close the embassy and consulates in Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif.
